UMC – Yellow (Fall Prevention) MUSIC VIDEO

At UMC, the safety of our patients is our priority.

UMC’s Fall Prevention Campaign is aimed at spreading awareness throughout UMC that yellow gowns indicate a patient at risk for falls. We should be mindful of these patients, and offer our help.

LYRICS:

Look at my scars
I’m colored black and blue,
I’m pretty dizzy too,
That’s why I’m wearin’ yellow

I had to go,
I didn’t call for you,
And took a whoopsie-doo,
So now I’m wearin’ yellow

Look out for spills and slippery soles,
Trippin’ over chairs and IV poles,
Check the gown and ask me if I’m OK,
Just ask me if I’m OK

I called Aunt Joan,
She wasn’t quite so strong,
And turned her walker wrong,
Now were both in yellow

It’s up to you,
You can prevent my fall,
Just know the protocol,
And look for my yellow

Yellow gowns, they mean a risk for falls,
In the bathroom, outside or in the halls,
If you see me make sure you offer your help,
You’ve got to offer your help

Look at my scars
I’m colored black and blue,
I’m pretty dizzy too.
