www.ncpssm.org – The Older Americans Act (OAA) helps millions of American families each year through a variety of programs; however, the OAA has not been reauthorized by Congress since 2010. That means funding is not keeping pace and American families are paying the price. From elder abuse prevention to Long Term Care Ombudsman to meal programs and transportation, Older Americans Act programs are the lifelines for our relatives and neighbors. There’s simply no excuse for Congress to ignore the desperate need for adequate funding, as they have since 2010. It’s time to reauthorize the Older Americans Act.
